Up, Up, and Away

OK... so the title is totally cheesy, but I found it fitting for this next post :)

I have been LONGING to do an engagement session with balloons since I was inspired by two of my most FAVORITE photographers, Vania and Christine, all the way from Huntsville, AL! LOVE your work, ladies!!!

We went to one of the most beautiful locations in Lexington, Talon Winery. I love the winery because it has so many options when photographing... fields galore, the pond, the dock, the barns, and of course the vines! LOVE it!

As I've said before on here... I tend to get really attached to my couples.... and well... no surprise here.... Lynn & Kevin are going to be one of those couples! When I first met Lynn she told me that she had bookmarked me as, "awesome wedding photographer" How about that???? Little 'ol me! I was so ecstatic that I think I even clapped! What a dork I am! She truly made my day!

I will be shooting Lynn's bridal session mid-July and I have the most awesome location in mind! I can't wait!!! I'm still saving it just for you Lynn!

Prom 2009... and a little Hint All in One!

I found this session so refreshing... so young.... so stylish... I just loved it! Macy has a special little place in me... I used to be her gymnastics coach way back in the day... Ha! This was her senior prom, and I was so thrilled that she called me to do the session. We had originally planned on a location, but the day of prom rained... and rained... and rained... so we decided to just do something on a different day and if it rained again (which it did) that we would just do studio. Macy and Micah have been a couple for as long as I can remember. Micah is one of the sweetest little dudes. I caught a couple shots of them glancing off at eachother... they are such a sweet couple and I hope to one day see them happily ever after!

Now..... as for that little hint to that awesome, fabulous, wonderful news.... Macy is my hint! I am thrilled...

Without further ado.... Macy's Senior Prom with her wonderful boyfriend, Micah!

Gettin' a little serious here.... :)

C-A-T-S CATS! CATS! CATS!

Haha... I couldn't resist the title!

Meet Emily & Marquis!!! Emily is a fabulous dresser and soooo beautiful! She totally rocked the blue heels for me! Marquis is a past member of the UK Wildcats (hence the title) and my dad was really impressed that I got to photograph him. Daddy told me that he had always been a fan of Marquis, especially since he had worked with one of his family members in the past.

This awesome couple is getting married in early August and Emily contacted me to do an engagement session for them around Lexington. When I first met them I thought two things: "This is going to be fun!" and "Gosh, he's really tall..." I am the tallest of my family, so it took me a few minutes to get used to ME being the short one:)

We went to several locations and I just love the images. Emily knew how to work the camera, and all Marquis had to do was smile :) I think I might just have to give Emily a blank check and let her go shopping for me!

Emily and Marquis: Thank you for letting me have the opportunity to do this amazing session! I'll take you up any day of the week on that "future session"... I'll be waiting on your call... LOL!

Without further ado..... the future Mr. and Mrs. Marquis Estill!

We HAD to have a little fun..... :)

Maegan & Steve

To date, this is one of my most favorite sessions! The lighting was so perfect that evening, with the most perfect overcast skies and the nicest temperatures anyone could ask for. I was thrilled with the images that Maegan & Steve allowed me to get. They were up for anything that I asked them to do and was such a pleasure to work with. They have this sweet "young love" about them, and I just loved the location that we ended up shooting at.

Maegan & Steve: Congratulations on your engagement and I'll be seeing you soon!

And to all of my followers: if you are a UK Fan.... stayed tuned for my next blog!!! You're gonna love it!

Nicole & Josh! We had so much fun at this session, and I learned a little about Josh.... don't put him too close to a moving train... he tends to tense up... haha! Nicole and Josh will be getting married at the end of June and I just know she is going to make the most gorgeous bride.

Nicole & Josh... it was a pleasure seeing you guys again. Lookin' forward to June!!!

Aren't they so cute??? This was one of my favorites :)

Just trying some different stuff in the studio.......

Growing Up...

Miss Alexis has been a client since before she was even born! I just love her mommy to death, she is the sweetest and cutest person, so you'll know just where Alexis gets it from.

This session was such a breeze, I think Lexi smiled all on her own for almost every shot we took!

Tasha, Lexi is so beautiful and I thank you so much for continuing to let me photograph your pride and joy :)

Georgia Peach or Southern Belle?

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph the wedding of Julie & Scott at the beginning of April. The couple both live in Georgia, where they are attorneys at different firms. However, to make things easier on the families traveling from Tennessee, they decided to have their nuptials at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in downtown Lexington.

Julie & Scott: THANK YOU so much for the opportunity to meet you and photograph your beautiful wedding, I am truly honored.

Without further ado, the wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Scott Marcum!

Just HAD to add this one of a member of the band... they were awesome! If you'd like their information for your wedding, message me and I'll get the info from Julie!
