And They're Off!

So... I was totally thrilled when Tony & Shellie asked me to photograph their wedding! Why??? Let me count the ways.... One: This is a couple that is totally IN LOVE! Two: Tony's enthusiasm, his dedication, and his vision of this wedding... something you don't always get with grooms... Third: it was at KEENELAND!!! And being the sister of a horse jockey, I knew my brother would think I was totally "cool." Haha.

Shellie & Tony: I wish you all the HAPPINESS and all the LOVE one couple could ever have!!!

Enjoy my favorites of the BEAUTIFUL day!

Oh.... Tony, please don't kill me... but I just had to add this one of you at the reception! I loved it!!!

Back to the Beat of Things...

So.... vacation is over.... I've bought an external drive for the laptop.... and the brand new touchscreen all in one computer is being delivered to the studio on Friday.... we're back to the beat of things!

I can't wait to get my hands on that touchscreen computer and have viewings on them!!! It's going to be awesome!!! I know Macy is looking forward to it too. Now... if I can just get one for the house :)

So... I try to keep the blog strictly about photography and the business, but I can't help but share an image from the beach. My sis helped me out on this... I told her what I wanted and she took it for me! (Thanks Sis). I plan on putting this somewhere in our living room... just haven't quite figured out exactly where yet....hhhhmmmmm...

Here we are! Cleaned up, posed up, and on the beach! I've been wanting to do this image for as long as I can remember. Carter really didn't want to cooperate, but as you can tell Lane is trying to talk him into it :) I love my baby boys :)

I am still running behind on edits... mostly with weddings.... I'm currently editing FIVE and this Saturday will make SIX! I feel so overwhelmed!!! If you are looking for your wedding proofs... just to give you an idea... I am running about 10 days behind the date I gave you to view them. I'll be sure to email you a day or two ahead and let you know when to expect them. I apologize so much, but with all these FABULOUS weddings that I'm invited to, I've been getting DOUBLE the images... which is a good thing... just takes a little longer.

Enough about that. I want you to meet the sweetest, most cutest, best little dancer in the world :)

Sienna's mommy and I used to work together way back when I was in high school. I was just a co-op student doing filing and phone calls and Sienna's momma was one of the doctors at the clinic. I then worked with Sienna's daddy when I substituted in Jackson County. I was beyond THRILLED when they called me for the session. Sienna is actually only HOURS older than Lane. How neat is that??? I have a plan to get them married one day :) Haha!

Little Sienna was by far one of the easiest two year olds I have photographed. She was full of giggles and danced for me several times. I love when little girls come in and dance! I even caught a couple of her sticking her tongue out at her momma. She's just the cutest little thing! Here are some of my favorites:

To My Clients...

Just wanted to take a quick minute and give my clients an update. We are still on vacation, and I have brought my computer with me to stay on schedule with proofing. However, my computer is running very low on memory and I am having trouble getting it to let me edit photos. I have taken off close to 65 sessions and backed them up onto CDs, but it still won't open my images.

Long story short... I am in the process of buying a new external hardrive so I won't have this problem..... and am continuing to add older sessions to CDs to free up space on the hard drive. That being said, if you are waiting on your proofs... please be patient... I promise I will get them up as soon as I get more space on the computer and it allows me to edit again!

I have the CUTEST little girl to add to the blog... so please check back frequently!

All Wrapped Up

We leave for vacation in the morning!!! Woot Woot! Right now, I am doing laundry, laying out clothes to be packed, editing photos, uploading photos.... and blogging.... Could the blogging wait? Well, probably... but I've had these images just itching at my little fingers to put on here! I LOVE them!

I first met Audrey and Aiden's momma in college! We had a couple of education classes together and have since kept in touch via Facebook... gotta love some Facebook! (I actually have two accounts, one for friends and one for the business... look me up under Lisa Edwards or Elle Photography :)

So... through good ol Facebook, me and Amy have stayed intouch and she finally decided to let me play with these little beauties! Audrey is just AMAZING! She is so beautiful, has the best dark complected skin, and in an angel! I'm also kind of itching for a little girl :)

Aiden is just the best little thing. I don't remember him crying throughout the whole session. I remember once me and Amy got tickled because we looked over and there Aiden was on my beanbag all wrapped up just gazing around. I think Amy might invest in a bean bag and a wrap :)

Amy: You know I loved having them over! I hope you enjoyed the images.... I think they'll make a great compliment to my website! THANK YOU!!! Oh... and Christmas is only around the corner.....hehe.

All Kinds of Goodies...

So.... it is officially wedding season!!!! I just photographed my sixth wedding this year.... with only sixteen more to go! That being said, I am staying up late editing photos, making orders, designing albums... you get it... working my bum off! I want to apologize to any sessions that get passed over with the blog... I WILL add them to the website soon!

I am THRILLED to announce that Macy will start her first day as my assistant TOMORROW!!! She's going to be catching me up on orders (I think I have close to 40 laying in my kitchen right now!), and hopefully I can train her quick on my lab's ordering software. It literally thrills my soul to know that I'm going to have HELP! Someone to run my errands, mail my orders, do odds and ends around the studio..... I am breathing a sigh of relief as I write this... no joke!

With that sigh of relief also comes a hint of some MORE exciting news at Elle Photography.... especially if you have small children, boys or girls! I hope to announce my latest ideas on the blog before we leave for vacation... which is in 6 days :) That makes me breath a sigh of relief too... the sounds of the ocean... isn't it beautiful?

Enough talk about that.

Let me introduce you to this next couple... Ashley & Andrew. Believe it or not... Drew is really good friends with my bubby (who won his race at the Kentucky Horse Park!!!! I need to post pics of that....) It's hard to believe that this little boy who spent the night with my brother is so grown up that he is now getting married and having engagments pictures taken. I must be getting older than I thought....

Since contacting me about the wedding, Ashley and I have talked frequently on the phone, discussing outfits, details of the wedding, reception venue ideas, and her DRESS! She is gonna be a HOTTIE! We had such a blast at the session... we were stalked by a cow, who came running up the hill at us once. I actually caught Ashley's expression when she saw it... but I didn't proof it... I should have... it was quite hilarious!

The week before their session, I think it rained inches every day... no joke. So... when picking out the locations I wanted to take them to... I warned them to bring a pair of shoes for walking around in until we actually got ready to take the photos.... Check out their stylin' boots! I just had to get this shot.... dress clothes, rainboots, mud, and of course.... our friend, the nosy cow. Ha!

Don't you love it? I think this next image would make the perfect newspaper announcement... hint hint....

We had the best wind that day!!! Love her hair in this one :)
Always have to take my signature leg shot :)

One of my most fave places to shoot... my mom and dad's field... too bad they're getting it mowed next week :(

Ashely & Drew: You are such a WONDERFUL couple... I loved hanging out with you guys that day, you made it so fun for me and I truly hope you LOVE LOVE LOVE your images!
